Service:
As my friend and I wanted a breakfast, there was just one young
waitress who was reasonably friendly. But wouldn't stop on the way
past when I wanted something (like another coffee) because she wanted
to get the customers' order through before she would listen.
Presentation:
Big plate but no style.
Wine List:
There was a wine list but I did not take any notice as it was Brunch
time.
Value for
Money:
It was the Sophies trademark of a big
plate, called the Big Man's Breakfast but overall fairly tasteless
with eggs the only thing you could specify. I asked the waitress
to ensure bacon was crispy. To which she answered the chef will
cook it how he wants. My friend also had a plate of eggs, bacon,
hash brown and tomato Not cooked through, just warmed) on soggy
toast (white - no choice. To be fair the bacon was fatty but tasty.)
There are other places in town which give as good a value, tastier
and better presented.
Ambience:
This place dressed in loud colours and lots of faded photos of Sophie
with various personalities on the wall. Definitely not as much fun
as the original on Papanui Road. I must go back to the original
Sophies again to compare.
The feel good
factor:
Just another cafe with a slightly larger portion

Definitely not
in a hurry to go back.
