Service:
Very Good Service. The food is fixed fresh when it is ordered and
it is always served hot. The restaurant is very small, with few
tables both inside and outside, so if possible you should consider
this mainly a carry restaurant. If you telephone ahead, your food
will be ready at the time they tell you it is ready.
Presentation:
If you eat in, the service is good, friendly, and prompt. They absolutely
do the very best they can with what they have. Presentation is not
what you would find at a five star restaurant, but it is very good
family style presentation.
For carry out, it is the typical carry out plastic and white boxes.
However, believe us, that does not matter, what matters is the wonderful
food in those boxes.

Value for Money:
The value at Montien is two fold. First the taste and quality is
superb. Every item we have tried has been some of the best Thai
food we have ever experienced. Secondly, the servings are huge compared
to the other Thai restaurants on the Gold Coast. Two people will
be completely satisfied with one entrée, one main, one order
of sticky rice and one coconut rice for dessert - all for about
$30.
Ambience:
It is unfortunate that this great little restaurant looks really
tired and worn down. Although the staff is friendly and more than
willing to do everything possible to make your meal superb - the
space is just old looking.
The feel good factor:
If you like Thai food, then this is the place to go. The Red Curry
Duck is our favourite dish, but we have had none that were anything
but delicious. Moreover, it is a must to have Montien's coconut
and sticky rice - simply the best we have had anywhere. Our suggestion
is to order out, take it home, and enjoy Thai food that is the best
you will find, especially for the value.
