Service:
Our first waitress had lost
her voice and what she was doing at work had me beat. The manager
and second chief took over her duties. She did not stay and left.
Other than that the service was quite good.
Presentation:
Their menu was very large
and extensive, if you are new to Indian cuisine you may need help
with it. They did have set banquet meals which did make things easy.
The set banquet was more than just adequate, it was very large.
Between my dinning partner and I we had the Butter Chicken, Lamb
Roghn Josh and Malai Kofta not to mention various naan breads and
dips.
Wine List:
Excellent choice, some very
well know names and for a suburban restaurant it was huge wine list.
Value for
Money:
For the set banquet for 2
and 2 glasses of wine the price was $75.00. The food was excellent
and very ample portions
Ambiance:
This is a new restaurant and
it was easy to see that it was designed by a processional. The decor
and lighting was also very professional. This is going to be a top
Christchurch suburban restaurant in the near future. The chairs
could have been a bit more comfortable however.
The feel
good factor:
My dinning partner and I thought
it was an extremely good restaurant. If you are into Indian food
this restaurant will be one of the best. More so if they can make
the seating a little more comfortable. I will give it a 4 glass
rating.
