Service:
Our waitress Lucie was from the Czech Republic with the lovely accent and excellent service there was not much to say except that we were well looked after. It was lunch time we had the restaurant to ourselves. We later learned that busy time was evening and lunch was always quiet. So if you are in the inner city it may be a place to try without too much noise and crowd for a business lunch.

Presentation:
This was a hotel restaurant; the presentation was ok but nothing spectacular.  The pumpkin soup was quite good and the 400g rib eye blue steak I ordered was done to perfection.  I think it could have aged a little longer (6 to 8 weeks is always good) the sauce “Hunter Sauce” was just  only. A béarnaise would have been much nicer and the chips did not show much imagination.   The meal was not bad but they could have done a bit better with it.   The cheese board was ok but a quince jelly would be nice touch, we had to ask for it.

Wine List:
It was not huge but very adequate, nice to see a few Australian reds. We tried the Sauvignon Blanc Settlers Hill, very fruity and a great quaffing wine on a Sunday afternoon. The prices were quite reasonable and not off the wall.

Value for Money:
If you’re planning a mid city business lunch and I must say VERY comfortable seating to boot, I suggest you try this restaurant.  This establishment is a middle of the road restaurant.  A three course meal plus a half decent bottle of wine put us back $110.00. When you look at quality, service and comfort and the over all experience it was NOT too bad.

Ambience:
Nothing too exciting but clean and tidy, can’t say there was any theme. But if you are doing business who wants to be too distracted.

The feel good factor:
It was OK, but nothing too spectacular. The food and beverage manager Mr. Tait suggested we return for an evening meal when a different menu is in use.  So we may be back to update this review later on during the week.

Well worth a trip Back
