Service:
We were greeted with a big smile and lots of hospitality.  Our waitress, Helene, was very knowledgable and her recommendations were right on target. The owner, Andreas Unterberger (Austrian), came to our table right through the night to make sure we were satisfied and happy.

"And nothing has changed since the last review , the service was great and Andreas was still the perfect host"

Presentation:
We chose the Veal Gamberone, thin slices of veal, topped with prawns in a creamy cognac sauce, served with Baby potatoes     My partner had Pork Medallions topped with melted camembert cheese, served with warm potatoe salad and calvados jus.  I can only describe this as absolutely beautiful.  For dessert we had Lemon Sorbet with Lemon Liqueur to clean the palette. The overall presentation was excellent.  This has been the 3rd time we have tried different meals and we have not had a bad one yet.  The food is ALWAYS fresh and ALWAYS very well presented.

"This time around ( myself Tony and my dinning partner Tim ordered the Filet Mignon and Tim ordered Bugs and Prawns, as with Amanda assessment it was great. Tim's Bugs and Prawns were very good to excellent , both had nice flavor, not overly "chili" flavored, very buttery ,sauce was really good. Food temperature was perfect , just a hint of chili which did not overpower the natural sea food flavors. The bok choi was crisp . Tony's Filet mignon was cooked to perfection "Blue" (aged for 12 weeks) and the sauce was great, and need I say more".

Wine List:
Basic to suit most tastes. We had a bottle of Peter Lehman Shiraz at about $30 a bottle and closed the night off with Cognac, Kahlua coffee and Dom Benedictine.

"On the recommended list from Andreas MASI Costaserra Amarone Classico Italy 2001, very fruity and woody and not half bad"

Value for Money:
For the food and location the prices are very reasonable.  The wine list runs from the cheaper end to the more expensive.  Overall very good value for money.

"We would agree with Amanda's on this"

Ambience:
Set on the canal-front at Bayview Heights, the restaurant is furnished in a soft romantic theme with wonderful surroundings which would make it ideal for functions as well.

"Again we would agree on this point as well"

The feel good factor:
Good food, good wine, knowledgeable and very friendly service........this beautiful restaurant wants you to come back for more.  I have to give this a 5.  A romantic dinner for 2, to meet up with friends or a family affair, I cannot recommend La Piazza more highly.

"Amanda you got our vote"

The best
