Service:
Table service from consistently friendly and helpful staff. The
efficiency can vary, but food can take a while to arrive. The excellent
coffee eases the wait after you've ordered, if there is one.
Presentation:
Some effort is made, but don't expect miracles - it's just not that
sort of outfit!
Wine List:
Surprisingly full selection of mainly NZ wines
Value
for Money:
Exceptional. Backpacker-sized servings,
and the food is always delicious.
Ambience:
Mexican meets hippy chic.
Ceiling fans, paintings by local artists for sale on the walls,
wooden floors and tables. Cheerful, relaxed and very pleasant.
The feel
good factor:
Always a fun place to visit
- a regular weekend haunt for me for breakfast, lunch, and late-night
snacking. Their breakfasts are legend, and their "snacks"
are a decent-sized meal - I recommend that Thai green curry, as
well as the selection of pastas. Seriously good pizzas are available
at their pizza bar upstairs (note the separate entrance.) All in
all, a no 1 spot for well-cooked, wholesome food - visit when you're
hungry!
