Service:
With a terrible turn over of staff in Alice Springs I was amazed
at the professional service at this restaurant. The Maitre'd was
very knowledgeable about wines. Over all the service was above average.
Presentation:
The presentation was very good, the entree were not large but ample.
The quality EXCELLENT, the Hanuman Prawns are out of this world,
done in a curry cream and krachai. My dinning partner had the Barramundi
in a ginger passion fruit sauce, again excellent. I had to pinch
myself that I was in the center of Australia in the middle of nowhere and this had to be some of the best food I had tasted anywhere
in the world. The dahl as a side dish was typical Southern Indian.
YUM. I can not say anything more it was excellent.
Wine List:
Very extensive, the cellar was large. All tastes catered for the
prices were in line with most top rated restaurants in Adelaide.
Value for
Money:
As I have always said in all my reviews
," by and large you get what you pay for". The quality,
portion size was EXCELLENT. This is a top restaurant at the top
of Australia (or very close) So is it value for money ! well lets
just say if you appreciate good food and wine the answer is, yes.
Ambiance:
Very tasteful with a Thai/Indian theme. Dim lighting and comfortable seating makes it
a great evening out.
The
feel good factor:
Yes, this is going to be one
of my infrequent 5 glass rating. An absolute gem of a restaurant
in the middle of Australia. If in Alice Springs you just got to
visit this restaurant. Was not surprised to see that the resturant
had won the Fodors Choice for 06 and 07

Simply the best
