grey and threatening, and the chances of a parking spot within
walking distance were very good.

Service:
We were seated straight away
by the restaurant manager and without any waiting time we ordered
wine. Overall very good service with friendly staff and a menu that
is short and to the point. My only critisism is that we had to ask
for new cutlery with the main course.
Presentation:
Being in a daring mood I ordered
(for the first time ever) an entree called Kentucky Shooters. It's
a speciality of fresh Oysters, Jim Beam and Spicy Tomato. My companion
opted for the Deep Fried Camembert Cheese served with a port and
plum dipping sauce. These were very good. My love affair with seafood
eating is passionate and persistent so I ordered the Seafood Gumbo
as a main course. Seafood platters are not for the churlish. I've
had some that have extended to three storeys, extravagantly decorated
by a giant lobster shell so as to completely block out the view
of everyone else at the table, which is handy if you want to avoid
the gaze of anyone who thinks you are being very, very greedy. This
one was just the right size! What a Southern treat!!!! Tiger Prawns,
bugs, crab, mussels, oysters and fish, simmered in a hearty tomato
char grilled ochre with vegetables and Southern spiced broth (The
bread served with this dish is fabulous). My partner ordered the
Lamb Rack, tender Spring lamb rack char grilled, with Mediterranean
vegatables served on a bed of mash and finished in a peppered red
wine jus. I thought I saw him crunching up the bones, it was so
damn good!
Wine List:
The short, sharp wine list
keeps prices under $40. We ordered the Jamieson's Run Cab Merlot
at $27.50.
Value for
Money:
he menu is aimed at anyone who wants
good food without spending too much. Overall very good value for
money.
Ambience:
Down-to-earth and with an
in and outdoor seating area for al types to kick back. An open bar-area
invites you to have a drink before your meal. The restaurant is very
family orientated and good for group outings as well. Not a place
to visit for the more romantic at heart in my opinion.
The feel
good factor:
Fiasco's is big on heart and
flavour. If you're looking for the mid-week around the corner meal,
this one's for you. To quote another Arnoldism - I'll be back.

Worth a trip back
