Where
to Find:
On the beach, Hastings St. Noosa Heads
|
|
Parking:
Not that good. May have to look around
|
Service:
For a small restaurant they do pack them in. Mat our waiter worked
hard and I must admit he did a great job. The kitchen was a bit
slow.
Presentation:
Ordered the Linguini sea food. The scallops were excellent and not
over cooked, this applied to the prawns. Seafood you have to cook
very carefully otherwise you loose the natural seafood flavor. The
mussels however were small and tasteless, steamed a bit too long.
(I could make suggestions but they may not let me back in again)
The pasta was done al dente, perfect. I finished with a local cheese
called Maleny wash rind !! Very similar to a Brie but with Blue
after finish, not bad but then again nothing spectacular.
Wine List:
Small wine list, but all tastes catered for. Some well known labels
among them. I think they were a tad over priced. But then again
this is Hastings Street, Noosa so I guess you better be prepared
to pay premium prices for your wine and food. I tried the Chapel
Hill Chardonnary not bad, not good very ordinary and $8.00 a glass
Value for
Money:
Compared to some others on Hastings
Street I would have to say it was not too bad. Allow about $52.00
per person for 3 courses and a few glasses of wine and I would say
it is not bad value. In fact quite good.
Ambiance:
Right on the beach, very open,
clean and tidy. Yes very nice.
The feel
good factor:
For two people enjoying a
lunch on the beach, excellent. An intimate evening after sunset
dinning experience? I don't think so.

Well worth coming
