Service:
Friendly and efficient
Presentation:
Appropriately minimal. You’re not paying for carved flora here.
Wine List:
lunchtime visits, so didn’t use it – there is a workmanlike winelist,
but Aroy is also BYO
Value for
Money:
Brilliant. Your absolutely classic
cheap ‘n’ cheerful local Thai restaurant, generally only found in
the suburbs. The lunch specials are a steal at $8 – try the beef
larb salad to wake you up after a boring morning.
Ambience:
Clean, bright and businesslike.
The place is always buzzing with students, lawyers from the Courts
down the road, office workers from the surrounds, punters from the
casino, and families of all ages and ethnicities eating and chatting
while several excellent Thai cooks work flat-out in the open kitchen.
The feel
good factor:
This is a great spot. The
food is always beautifully fresh, and is cooked to order, accommodating
your dietary needs and palate when necessary. Service is always
with a smile, and the number of Thai people eating there shows that
you’re getting the genuine article… in fact it was a Thai friend
who recommended it to me. Well worth a visit.
