Service:
Was at best adequate. Although they seemed
to have a lot of staff and they were very full. The service from
the kitchen was slow.
Presentation:
I ordered the Lamb Kataifi as an entrée, what arrived was
some lettuce with some feta and at best could be described as poorly
spiced hamburger mince. For main I ordered the Rump Jindalee Gold
Brand?? As per my usual I ask for it blue to rare, it eventually
arrived as medium. I sent it back and it arrived again as rare (kinda)
The sauce Diane must have been measured in a thimble.
Wine List:
In short, very extensive with some very good labels. Every taste
catered for. I tried the Gramps Cabernet Merlot, more like a Sheraz
but still OK.
Value for
Money:
Well I guess you get what you pay for.
The main course was $26.00 but there was a 20% discount for members.
I did not think that it was that good. The Brûlée was
basic custard. I think they cook to a price and not a recipe
Ambiance:
Very much a club, loud and
a tad overcrowded
The feel
good factor:
Was not that good, If you
are looking for a lunch or a breakfast on a weekend no problem.
If you were looking for a dining experience there are too many other
good restaurants on the Gold Coast you can go to. To me it felt
the kitchen was a production line event. i.e. turn it out as quick
as you can (it was not that quick) and as cheap as you can.
 -
OK (and
I am being generous)
